John Berry 3/27/10 --------How interesting would it be to see the Star Wars movies in 3D? 3D movies seem to be all the rage nowadays. Some people love the new 3D technology and there seems to be a growing portion of the fan boy community that is outraged at how 3D movies are raising ticket prices. I have to say I am not the biggest fan of the raise in ticket prices. Some people seem to get dizzy or headaches when watching 3D movies. You know if a movie format gave me headaches I don’t think I would enjoy it either. Fortunately for me I do not suffer from such unfortunate side effects when viewing 3D movies. In fact I fucking love them. I think it elevates the medium and if given a choice I will see a movie in 3D over the regular 2D version any day. --------One of my contacts has informed me that George Lucas has been shopping around for 3D VFX houses to convert the six Star Wars movies into 3D. Now I of course cannot reveal the name of my contact, nor can I reveal where that person may or may not work. However it has been brought to my attention that Lucas is putting down $250 million dollars for this conversion. This thing is happening and I intend to enjoy it. My only hope is that after all six films are released that some IMAX theater somewhere will give us the full six movies in one day marathon.Remember you heard it first at The Peoples Comics.
